Teaching Experience

I studied at University College Cardiff in Wales and Bath University in England.

I have a BA Honours degree in English and a Post Graduate English Teaching Certificate - the qualifications required to be a secondary school teacher of English in the UK.

For sixteen years, I taught in the following schools:

Teacher of English - St. Cyres School, Penarth, Cardiff, Wales

Teacher of English - St. Bartholomew’s School, Newbury, England

Teacher of Special Needs Students - The Avenue School, Reading, England

Teacher of English - Maiden Erlegh School, Earley, England

For twenty four years, I have worked as a full-time private tutor - teaching primary aged children basic English skills and improving their creative writing. I also prepare students for the 11+, 13+, Independent School Entrance Examinations (which includes interview practice), GCSE Language/Literature and A’Level Language/Literature.
